Roger Felton

Services for Roger W. Felton will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Bustard's Funeral Home with Chaplain Marvin Skogen officiating. Viewing will be from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, January 28, 2011 at Bustard's Funeral Home. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery. Mr. Felton, 69, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at the Shepherd of the Valley Care Center in Casper. Roger was born November 26, 1941 in Belle Fourche, South Dakota to Grace Cossart. When he was a child, the family moved to Casper where he remained. He graduated from Natrona County High School in 1961. He proudly served with the United States Navy from 1962-1966. Shortly after being discharged from the Navy, he met the love of his life, Linda L. Grace. They were married October 20, 1967 in Casper. He attended Casper College for two years. Roger worked for Natrona County High School from 1968 - 1971. He was transferred to the Fremont County School District in Lander from 1971 - 1974. He returned to Casper to pursue an education in diesel mechanics. He worked for Salt Creek Freightways from 1976 to 1985 at which time he went to work for the City of Casper and remained there until retiring in 2007. He loved to spend time with his family, ride motorcycles, travel, fish and hunt. He is survived by his wife, Linda, daughter, Jennifer Paad and three grandchildren, Amanda, Elizabeth, Jesse; his mother, Grace Rogers of Casper, two sisters, Karen (Del) Wilhelm of Kennewick, WA; Barbara (Rick) Davis of Glenrock, WY. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Brian David and his step-father, Mack L. Rogers. Memorials may be given to Alzheimer's Association, Great Plains Chapter, 1-800-272-3900.
