Robert L. "Bob" White passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Sept 19, 2011 as a result of heart attack at the age of 64. Services will be held at 11am on Saturday, Sept 24, 2011 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Bob was born April 29, 1947 in Casper, WY to Robert L. and Lucille (Hudson) White. He attended several Casper grade schools, East Junior High School and graduated from Natrona County High School in 1965. He graduated from Casper College in 1969 and attended the University of Wyoming. Bob was a constant provider for his family. He worked for Burlington Northern Transportation as a teamster for 16 years and later worked for Salt Creek Freightways, Wyoming Express and Trans Equipment and finally with TownSquare Media (K-2 Radio). On December 18, 1976 in Casper he married Valarie (Pettrini) White and cherished 35 years of marriage together. They had two beautiful children, a son, Tony and a daughter, Sterling. He was a compassionate man who loved his family, his friends, and God. He found great delight in staying physically active, coaching several sports, including his children's teams, the Casper Beverage men's softball team and the World Famous Wonderettes. He provided many years of faithful service to St. Mark's Church in many aspects, most notably as a devoted layreader and member of the Vestry. He took great pride in his family life, being actively involved in his children's activities, traveling and golfing with his sister, Barbara, and sharing his life with his wife of 35 years. One of Bob's favorite pastimes was reminiscing with many of his old friends and clients from over the years. He was a dedicated Dallas Cowboys and NCHS football fan and never missed the Mustangs take the field at home. Very rarely would you see him without his faithful dog by his side, whether they were out in the yard or in their swimming hole. He was an avid WWII history buff and got a thrill out of touring the B-17's every summer and assembling model war planes for his father-in-law. Bob is survived by his sister, Barbara J. Blair (John) of Billings, MT, his wife, Valarie, his son, Tony and daughter, Sterling, all of Casper, nephews, Craig Rissler of Denver, CO, Jared Huber of Portland, OR and Cass Huber of Casper. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Michael J. Rissler. Donations may be made in his memory to the Casper Humane Society or St. Mark's Episcopal Church.
