Robert Trowe

Robert William Trowe II of Gillette died March 22, 2012 at the WesternCancerTreatment Center of America in Phoenix AZ. Born March 31, 1947 in Casper, Rob graduated from NCHS and the University of Wyoming. He married Louise Crawford in 1968. After teaching metal shop at East JHS for three years, he began remodeling and building hundreds of houses in Casper and Gillette. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, fly fishing, hunting, 4 wheeling and touring on his Harley. He enjoyed redoing vintage cars and working on a racecar pitcrew. Rob's woodworking skills led him to build all the furniture, with the exception of the upholstered pieces, in his home. He is survived by his mother Linea Trowe Bentley and his sister Suzanne Dowler, both of Ventura CA, his wife Louise, his daughter Cheryl Ravenscroft of Rexburg ID, his son Robert William Trowe III (Bob) of Gillette and his grandson Robert William Trowe IV (Rob.) His remaining cousins include Denise Harrel, Dinah Richardson, Debbie Spicer, Bob Sandison,Tom Sandison, Steve Fauks and Dr. Mike Fauks. Memorial services will be held April 11, 2012 at Bustard's Funeral Home in Casper at 1:00. Internment of ashes with his father will follow at Highland Cemetery. An informal celebration of Rob Trowe's life will be held at 4:00 PM on his birthday, Saturday, March 31, 2012 at his shop, 301 Works Ave, Gillette.
