Robert's life started on December 26th, 1957 in Powell Wyoming. He resided there with his mother Jo Hayner and his step-father Frank Hayner, until they moved to Cody Wyoming where he finished High school. Unable to afford college, Bob or "Bobby" (as a lot of you know him) turned to the oilfield to make a living. He travelled to California and worked on an offshore drilling rig for most of his young adult life. He returned to Wyoming and went to work insulating oil treaters before becoming a tool-pusher for Anderson-Meyers, all the time searching for new opportunities. During his time in Cody, he married and had his first child, Kehley. In Cody, he cultivated many deep friendships and bonds that would last a lifetime. On a fateful night in ‘86 he met the love of his life, Jacquie Roberts, outside of The Beacon. After a smooth pick-up line and a dance he later found himself in his second and final marriage. Jacquie and Bob together built a beautiful family of four children and two beloved family dogs, Corky and Kramer. With his growing family came a rekindled relationship with his father Robert E. This renewed relationship became one of his most cherished and unfaltering bonds until his last moments. While rooting deep into the Casper community, he worked for Weatherford and Baker Hughes gaining experience and a vast knowledge in the field. Knowing his passion was in the oilfield he went to work for Schlumberger becoming one of the best Directional Drillers in the region. He became known and respected by all of his colleagues as, "one of the best in business". An excellent provider and even better father and friend he built relationships everywhere he went. His was proud of his children. With his encouragement always, he stood beside them no matter what path they would choose. Always with a witty comeback or joke, he could make light of even the most serious of situations. He often took his family on trips to Las Vegas, Sunlight Basin, the Big Horn Mountains, Thermopolis Hot Springs and other locations. He was known for the kindness he showed everyone he came into contact with and never hesitated to help anyone in need. Bob spent his final years living comfortably in Paradise Valley. He would often be seen daily on a walkabout, with his beloved dog "Miss Blue", between he and his parent's house. Everyday he set out to work on his father's house and continued to do intermittent repairs to his properties, before settling in for dinner with his Dad and his beloved dog "Miss Blue". All who knew him will dearly miss him, and those with memories of him will always cherish the time they spent around him. Always late for dinner most likely he will be late to his own funeral. We will miss your laugh, your smile, your whistle, your hands, and your hugs. Bob is survived by his father Robert E. Richardson, his four children Sara Hart, Kehley Richardson, Samantha Richardson, and Robert C Richardson, four grandchildren Alexandra, Sloan, Lydia, Madelyna, several uncles and aunts, and his faithful dog "Miss Blue". His mothers, Jo Hayner and Nina Richardson, preceded him in death.
