Robert "Bob" H. Reister, born October 21, 1934 in Winner, South Dakota to Henry and Alvina Reister, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2011. Bob was raised on a ranch in the Parmalee/Colome area of South Dakota where he belonged to the Team Roping Club and competed in rodeos. In 1955 his family moved to Hot Springs, SD. He worked various jobs and learned the meat cutting trade. He worked at Safeway as a meat cutter for 15 years and various locations. From 1956 to 1980 he was married to Myrna Wolvington and had three children. In 1970 he and his family moved to Caper, Wyoming while working for Safeway. He served for two years as the Evansville Fire Department chief and played Santa Claus every Christmas. He later retired as a salesman for the Colorado Toy Company. Bob loved family, travel, rodeo and Pro Wrestling. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Casper. He is survived by his wife, Jan Reister, sisters, Alice Rahn, Phoenix, Elizabeth (Ken) Lorang, Hot Springs, SD, and brother Paul (Sharon) Mohl of Rapid City, SD. He is also survived by his children, Katheryn (Greg) Gabrielson, Gwen (Tom) Hool, Gerald Sinclair, Rob (Theresa) Reister, all of Casper and Katie (Carlyle) Sinclair, Telford, Wasilla, Alaska. Also, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, ex-wife, 2 nieces and 1 nephew. Viewing will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Bustard's Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Casper, Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 10:30 AM. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Bob's name may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
