Robert Christopher Reilly III

  Robert Christopher Reilly III, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, age 69, of Casper, Wyoming passed away February 9, 2024.

  Bob was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, to Robert C. Reilly Jr. and MaryAnn DeMaio on October 29, 1954. He graduated high school from Toms River High School North, Toms River, New Jersey, in 1972 and later graduated from Kean College in Union, New Jersey. Bob had an extensive military career in the United States Air Force and United States Air Force Reserve beginning as an enlisted man in Vietnam and culminating in retirement as commander of the ALCE Unit at McGuire Air Force Base.

  Bob is survived by his amazing wife, Suzanne Van Kirk Reilly. She was the love of his life, and they shared 39 wonderful years of marriage. Additionally, he is survived by his three wonderful children Robert C. Reilly IV of Casper, Wyoming, Katelynn Sande of Casper, Wyoming, and Sean Reilly of Las Vegas, Nevada, as well as daughters-in-law, Carolyn and Erin and a son in law, Pooo. Bob was also blessed with grandchildren whom he loved dearly: Robert (V), Thaddeaus, Liam, Adonis, Paul, and Tiffany. Bob loved his family so very much and did everything with them in mind. He put his family first throughout his entire life.

  Bob was very proud of his time in the Air Force and was always glad to share the many stories he collected over the years. His past 24 years he battled cancer along with many other health challenges in recent years. Through it, he always remained positive and did his best to enjoy every day. His favorite pastime was doing anything and everything he could with his wife, children, and grandchildren whom he loved with all his heart. Bob enjoyed his final years living in Wyoming. He leaves behind an unimaginably large void for all who love him.

  The wake will be held at Bustard and Jacoby Funeral Home on February 15 from 4-6 p.m. Funeral services will be at Mount Hope Lutheran Church on February 16 at 1:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery.

  In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in his name at St. Judes Children's Research Hospital or Mount Hope Lutheran Church in Casper, Wyoming.
