Robert Page

November 24, 1942 — October 5, 2015

Robert "Bob the Gas Man" Page, 72, of Casper, WY passed away October 5, 2015 surrounded by his family at his Casper home after a valiant battle with cancer. Bob was born November 24, 1942 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts to Walter and Charlotte Page. He served in the United States Marine Corp for 4 years and the reserves for the 7 years following his honorable discharge. He then attended college and received an Associates Degrees in Agriculture. Bob spent 47 years as a Propane Specialist. This led him to many professional adventures which included working on the Alaskan Pipe Line and he was known for his expertise in extinguishing propane fires. Bob met the love of his life Judy Steffens in 1985 in Casper, WY. They combined their 2 families into one and together raised 7 children whom he adored and took great pride in. Bob loved football, hunting, fishing, and was known as the "baker man" making enormous, mouthwatering pies. He really enjoyed the holidays and even had Judy put the Christmas tree up for him so he could see it one last time before he passed. Bob was known for his patriotic spirit, great sense of humor and cantankerous demeanor. Any battle he faced he fought using humor. Bob will be greatly missed by those who loved him including Judy Steffens of Casper, WY; daughters Heidi (John) Haass of Casper, WY Stephanie Page of Highland, CA; sons Ben (Whitney) Page of Temple Terrace, FL and Dennis (Sheryl) Page of Pueblo West, CO; Stepson Mike (Michele) Steffens of Aurora, CO; stepdaughter Linda (Jeff) Harrison of Centennial, CO; Daughter-in-law Lisa Page of Brownwood, TX as well as his 13 wonderful grandchildren, Jeremy, Megan, Chelsea, Patrick, Nico, Emma, Natalie, William, Sophia, Anna, Savannah, Charlotte and Evelyn; brother Walter "Hap" (Dottie) Page of Ashburnham MA; twin brother Ray (Mary Kay) Page of East Wenatchee WA; numerous nieces, nephews, coworkers and the world's best friends. He was preceded in death by his son MCPO Kevin Page; both his parents; twin infant sisters; sister Priscilla Bland; and brother Calvin "Buster" Page. Bob would not want us to mourn him in sadness; he would want us to celebrate his life. The family would like to gather together to share stories and honor Bob. The family requests silly, casual, bright clothing to match his outrageous personality. This celebration will take place from 1:00 to 4:00pm on November 22, 2015 at Yellowstone Garage. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Central Wyoming Hospice or Wyoming Wounded Warriors Project. LOVE BOB BYE
