Robert Kelly

Robert Treloar Kelly was born, November 18, 1927 in Casper, Wyoming to William T. Kelly and Rose Treloar. He was the fourth child born to that union, Jack, William Dale, Avis Rosemary presided him in death. His father was an engineer on the Chicago and Quincy Railroad. He never owed a car and walked the three miles to work through rain or shine, snow or sleet. He attended his elementary grades at Grant school and high school at Natrona County High. He enlisted in the Navy out of high School at age 17. World War 2 was in progress at the time. After boot camp his ship was out to sea when the war ended. Therefore he spent a year in Pearl Harbor. Bob and Betty Dana were married in Thayne, Wyoming, December 22, 1951 and were together for 65 years. Four boys were born to that union, Robert Dana, Randall Bruce, Kevin Dale, and Craig Ronald. He worked various positions with Mobil Oil and retired with 39 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, being with his grandchildren and winters in Yuma, Arizona. His best friend Buddy was with him his final years. Bob lived a fruitful life and passed one month from his 90th birthday. Bob is survived by his wife, Betty; his sons and their wives Bob and Linda, Randy and Michelle, Kevin and Craig and Melinda, nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at The Church Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2627 East 7th Street in Casper with military honors accorded by the Natrona County United Veterans Council and the United States Navy Funeral Honors. Visitation,will be Saturday, October 14th from 12-1 P.M. at the church. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery in Casper. Memorial donations may be made in Robert's name to Central Wyoming Hospice, 319 South Wilson, Casper, WY 82601. .
