Services for Robert A. (Bob) Kaper, 70, will be held at 11:00 Friday, March 22, 2013 at Bustards Funeral Home. He passed away March 17, 2013 of natural causes at his home in Bar Nunn, WY. Bob was born in Lusk, WY on March 29, 1942 to Carl and Alice (DuVall) Kaper. He was the second of four children. After being widowed in in 1951, Carl married Beulah (Bailey) Kaper, and both of their families joined in Casper, WY. Bob attended Natrona County High School in Casper. On October 23, 1959 he joined the United States Army and was stationed on the East Coast. He was honorably discharged from New Brittan, CT on October 23, 1962. Bob continued to reside on the East Coast and became a construction project manager for Discover General Contracting. In March of 2006 he retired and moved back to Casper to "play cars" with his brother, Lyn Kaper. They built a shop with a residence for Bob in Bar Nunn where they enjoyed working on hot rods. Bob was the president of Central Wyoming Corvettes Club and a member of the Oil Capitol Auto Club. He loved to drive his Corvette and El Camino and travel to car shows and events during the summer with fellow club members. He was an avid card player and enjoyed playing Pitch and Cribbage. He met with friends every week to play cards and socialize. He also enjoyed watching basketball and attending the Casper College games. He is survived by three children; Robert Kaper, Sheila Siena, and Dennis Kaper; a brother, Lyn (Kathy) Kaper; a stepbrother, Gene (Cheryl) Gill; a stepsister, Ruth (Murray) Rigsby, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother, a brother, sister, half sister, and stepsister.
