Robert Hatfield

Robert Eugene Hatfield, went home with Jesus on March 11, 2018. He was born May 25, 1941 in Atchison, Ks , the second son of William F. Hatfield and Imogene R. (Randall) Hatfield. The family migrated to Wyoming in 1943 and have been life-long Wyomingites since then. Robert graduated from Glenrock High School in 1960 followed by a four year career as a Herder basketball player. He served his country in the U.S. Navy for four years, ending his service time as a Deckhand on the USS BENNINGTON. He married Carol Lam in 1963 to this union was born three children: Lydia Sue, Debra Jean and James robert. This marriage ended in divorce in 1985. He married Sherry Lewis in 1986. Sherry passed away in 1986. He married Jean Erdman on September 6, 1987. To this union one son was born: Shane Robert Hatfield. Robert is preceded in death by his father William F. Hatfield; his mother Imogene Banks; his brother William E. Hatfield and his daughter Lydia Sue. Robert is survived by his wife Jean Hatfield of Casper, WY; his daughter Debra Plymel of Camden, NC; his sons James Robert Hatfield of Colorado Springs, Co and Shane Robert Hatfield of Casper, WY; two brothers: James Nelson Hatfield of NM and David Farrell Hatfield of Grand Junction, CO; and sister Shirley Blakeley of Douglas, WY; three stepchildren: Danny, Ricky and Gary Erdman and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Robert is fondly remembered for his creativity in leather tooling, saddle making and wood working; his love of family and friends and his love for reminiscing about the "good ole days" when he cowboyed on the Sweetwater and drove 18 wheelers across the USA. He will be greatly missed by all. A Visitation will be held at Bustard's Funeral Home Thursday March 15, 2018 from 5 to 7pm. Funeral Service will be March 16, 2018 at 2:00pm at the Church of God of Prophecy, 2000 S. Washington Street, with Pastor Ked Shroyer officiating. Donations can be made to Hospice for those who wish.
