Robert George Day passed away on October 2nd, 2016 at Wyoming Medical Center after a year of heart trouble. Robert was born on December 28, 1924 to Clyde and Mamie Day in Long Pine, Nebraska. He was the youngest of 8 boys with 1 younger sister. He moved to Casper in 1934 where he attended school. He was drafted at the age of 18 and served in France during World War II. On May 24, 1949 he married Annie Johnstone. He owned Car Care Inc. from 1966 to 2006, retiring at 81 years old. He enjoyed bowling when he was younger, hard work and his cabin on Casper Mountain. Robert is survived by his wife of 67 years; daughter, Judy (Melvin) Morrison; son, Rob (Dawn) Day; granddaughter, Jovon (Trent) Phillips; grandson, Hunter Day; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Kyle, Lew, Lloyd, Delbert, Barton, Lynn, and Clyde JR; and sister, Bonnie Jean. Services will be held at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery at 2:00pm on Friday, October 7th, with a viewing at Bustard's Funeral Home from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Memorial contributions in Robert's name may be made to Central Wyoming Hospice, 319 S. Wilson, Casper, WY 82601.
