On Friday, January 30th, 2015, beloved husband, grandfather, brother, and father passed away quietly in his home surrounded by loved ones. Robert was born on July 19, 1955 in Lander, WY. He was one of five children of Robert and Corinne Dahlstedt of Hudson, WY. He lived in the Lander/Hudson area until 1998 when he and his future bride moved to Casper to begin a new life. He worked for Wyoming Behavioral Institute for many years. He was loved and respected by all who crossed his path. During his off time, Robert enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved camping and taking his grandchildren on nature walks on Muddy Mountain. He was best friends with his 4 year old grandson. He was the "go-to" man in everyone's life and many people depended on his kind and nurturing heart. Robert enjoyed teaching his daughter the art of safe shooting and protection. He was an avid gun collector and loved building things in his garage. He was today's "MacGyver" and could fix anything. Robert loved decorating for Halloween and Christmas. Many Casper residents learned to expect a great show at his home in North Casper. He spent weeks decorating for Halloween and loved surprising the kids with full size candy bars and sodas. He and his wife built and painted many of their Christmas decorations by hand. Seeing peoples face light up was his goal. Robert was a very generous man who was always willing to help another in need. He always helped when he could, and he always made himself available. Robert wouldn't hesitate to stop and help someone on the side of the road or reach into a parked car to switch off the lights. He is survived by his wife Pam of Casper, his son Robert Dahlstedt of Florida, his daughters Edna Baca of California, Stacy Muggelberg of Casper, Tracey Muggelberg of Casper, Heidi Schaible of Casper, and Kelly Denton of Riverton. He is also survived by his sisters Vickie Gillmore of New Mexico and Rebecca Yarbor of Lander, and his brothers Kenneth Dahlstedt of Nevada and Daniel Dahlstedt of Hawaii. Robert is the grandfather of 12 and the uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Corinne Dahlstedt and his grandson Logan Hatle.
