Robert Carpenter

We will be celebrating the life of Robert (Bob) Carpenter on Monday, March 9, 2020 at Bustard & Jacoby Funeral Home at 1:00pm.  There will be a graveside service immediately following at Memorial Gardens Cemetery and a reception at River of Life Church.

Robert was born September 25, 1929 in Warren County, Iowa to Robert and Edith Carpenter.  After a brief illness Robert, age 90, passed away on February 28, 2020 in Casper, WY surrounded by loved ones.  He was preceded in death by his father Robert Carpenter, mother Edith Carpenter, brother Merlin Carpenter, sister Phyllis Fayles, daughter Sally Carpenter and loving wife Doris Carpenter of 69 years.  He is survived by 3 sons and one daughter, Dan (Christine) Carpenter, Bill (Polly) Carpenter, Dale (Vicki) Carpenter, and Rosalie (Obee) Ready. Also surviving him are 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and many extended relatives.

At the age of 20, Bob married Doris Clark on May 28, 1949 in Casper, WY.  He worked as a welder and Ironworker most of his life.  Bob and Doris were very involved in ministry and he was an Elder at his church for many years.  They really enjoyed visiting with people they met and sharing God’s love.  When he wasn’t working, he loved spending time fishing and hunting with his family.  Anyone who knew Bob well could tell you stories about his adventures in the great outdoors, his crooked fingers and his figures of speech, or maybe a time or two he about hit a waitress because he was so jumpy.  Bob touched many lives in his 90 years and will be greatly missed.
