Rita Walsh

Rita Walsh, 73, a long time resident of Casper, WY died Tuesday May 15th at the Wyoming Medical Center. Rita was born March 12, 1945 to Doane and Violet Warnock in Buffalo, WY, where she remained throughout her youth, graduating from Johnson County High School in 1963. In June of 1963 Rita married Robert Bybee and together they had one daughter, Deana. Bob was lost in an accident in 1970. Rita remarried to Chester Walsh in Dec of 1981, whom she preceded in death. Rita made a career out of in home day care and maintained relationships with the children and families of those she served up until the time of her death; in many cases going on to watch their children. Rita found her greatest joy in her grandchildren and most especially her great- grandchildren, whom she dedicated most of her time and attention to. "GG" could always be counted on for special surprises and shared moments that will last a lifetime. She also enjoyed her vegetable and flower gardens - her favorite meal being one that was primarily harvested out of her garden. She looked forward to her frequent lunch and shopping dates with her good friend and neighbor Granny Sneathen and spending time with her two remaining sisters, Donna and Shirley. Rita is survived by her husband, Chester Walsh; her daughter and her husband Deana and Don Nicely; 3 grandchildren and several greatgrandchildren to include Mandy Blajszczak and Rita's "favorite" grandson-in-law Eric and their four children Austin, Micah, Trace and Kole of Casper; Kodi Dockham and wife Tangney and their daughters Taelee and Jesse of Casper; and Roscoe Dockham and his wife Carman and their four children Mason, Caitlyn, Aubree and Jackson of Florida; two sisters - Donna Jarvis and Shirley Rubottom both of Buffalo, WY and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Doane and Violet Warnock, an infant son, her first husband Robert Bybee, four siblings - Larry Warnock, Mac Warnock, June Arthun and Marjorie Baldwin, a grandson, Jesse, and a great-granddaughter, Tinlee. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Willow Grove Cemetery in Buffalo, WY, all are welcome to attend. .
