Richard John "Dick" Webb died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on August 16, 2019, in Casper, WY. Dick was born to Richard "RJ" Webb and Leila Jane Churchill in Ferndale, MI on October 3, 1947 and lived in Royal Oak, MI until 1979. Growing up, he helped in his father's shop then at Chatham Supermarket, Royal Oak Post Office, and entered a career in law enforcement in 1970 with the Royal Oak Police Department. He met his wife of 52 years, Dianna Patton, on a blind date, and it was love at first sight. They were married on April 1, 1967 and together they raised 5 wonderful children - Wendee (Syd) Webb; Tracey (Michael) Belser; Richard (Jana); Kerri (Jeremy) Lehman; and Bill (Andrea). Feeling drawn to the mountains and prairies, they moved to Casper, WY in 1979, where they made their home. He worked in security and field at the National Petroleum Reserve #3 and the Casper Police Department retiring as their Crime/Intelligence Analyst in 2009. Following in his father's footsteps he pursued the Great Light of Masonry. As a teen he joined DeMolay becoming their Master Counsellor, District Master Counsellor and earning the honors of Chevalier and Outstanding DeMolay in the State of MI. He became a Master Mason with Lodge #464 in Royal Oak, MI, receiving his lifetime membership. The values, lessons, and leadership roles provided the foundation for his dedication to his community and family. He had many hobbies and was an avid reader. Dick is survived by his wife, his mother, siblings Lucy Kapur; Bert (Cheri); Bill (Jeanni Gaymer); Larry (Vicky) and brother-in-law Garry (Nancy) Patton. Surviving grandchildren Kevin (Katie) Rohrer; Dakota (Mariah) Webb; Alexis, Anthony, Cayden, Bella, and Drew Webb; Alex and Annika Belser; Payson and Gracie Webb; Maddilynn Lehman; E'lana, Benjamin, Isabelle and William Webb. Surviving great-grandchildren are Carter, Brecken, Brynnleigh, and Caysen Rohrer and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life is planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the American Cancer Society or the Amyloidosis Foundation.
