Rich passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 7th, 2017, at Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper. Rich was a loving husband, father, papa, brother, uncle and friend to all who knew him. He was born in Casper on April 4th, 1956 to Doyle B. Logan and Mary Agnes (McCue) Logan. His family spent most of their days at their family cabin at Alcova Lake which his father built by hand. Some of his fondest memories were weekends spent playing in the dirt with his Tonka trucks or swimming while his father worked on the cabin. He attended St. Anthony Tri-Parish elementary school and Dean Morgan Jr. High as a young boy. Rich graduated High School from NCHS in 1974 and immediately entered the workforce. He had a passion for trucks and learned the operations of the trucking industry. With over 30 years of experience, he was proud to make a name for himself in the Wyoming trucking industry. He started his company Richard S. Logan Trucking Inc. and never looked back. Throughout the years, Rich grew quite the collection of classic cars and motorcycles which became a passion. He was always on the hunt for the next perfect collectible to keep in his ‘toybox'. Rich participated in many car shows all over the state and loved to shine them up to show them off. When Rich and Cyndi had time away from the company, they found themselves at the lake soaking up the sun on the boat. Rich loved to pull his daughters on the tube and dump them as many times as he could. Rich was blessed with two grandchildren who he loved to tickle and chase around the house. At the age of 48, Rich found out that he was adopted and started the journey to find his bonus family. He was rewarded with 10 brothers and sisters whom have lived in Casper and Glenrock most of their lives. They spent the last 13 years making and sharing as many memories as they could to make up for lost time. Rich was blessed to have found his siblings and truly cherished the bond that they all shared. He was preceded in death by his father Doyle B. Logan and mother Mary Agnes (McCue) Logan; birth mother Norma Gerlock; birth father Melvin C. Davis; brother John E. Logan; brother Brady Davis; and sister Kelly Davis Anderson. Rich is survived by his ‘honey' and the love of his life, Cynthia (Burton) Logan; his daughters, Shaelynn Palmer (Courtney) and Brianna Sonsoucie (Tyler Thies); grandchildren Carter Palmer and Riley Thies; sisters Debbie Gerlock; Bobbi Gerlock (Phil Bryant); Christy Gerlock; Wendy (Russ) Lyzell; Linda Bridwell; Shelly Gray and brothers Steve (Sheila) Gerlock and Grady (Velvet) Davis; uncle John McCue; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many lifelong friends and colleagues from all over the country. Our family would like to give a special thank you to the amazing staff at Rocky Mountain Oncology, Central Wyoming Hospice, and Dr. Christine Lauro for all the compassion and care that they gave Rich while completing his treatments. The care that you provided us will always be appreciated and remembered. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Vietnam Vets/Legacy Vets Motorcycle Club at P.O. Box 1423 Casper, WY 82602 and St. Anthony Tri-Parish School located on 1145 W. 20th St, Casper, WY 82604. .
