Richard Kirkpatrick

December 27, 1955 — February 2, 2016

Richard R Kirkpatrick (60) passed away February 2, 2016 at his mother's home. He was born December 27, 1955, in Casper, Wyoming to Robert F. and Lylia Kirkpatrick. He was raised in Casper, where as a child he was involved in little league and swimming. As a teenager he was interested in electronics. He attended Mountain View grade school, Dean Morgan Junior High School, and Natrona County High School, graduating in 1973. He attended Casper College while working for the family business. He moved to Bremerton, Washington in 1976 to work for an electronics firm. After a couple of years he moved back to help his dad in the family business. He later moved to Ogden, Utah. After his father's death, he became a partner in the business, trucking throughout the Northwest. Rick was proceeded in death by his father, Robert F. Kirkpatrick and his brother, Ronald R. Kirkpatrick and by his grandparents. He is survived by his mother Lylia Kirkpatrick, four daughters: Codi (Clint) Hillam of Gilbert, Arizona; Chelsea Kirkpatrick of Ogden, Utah; Sunny (Zane) Melaney of Ogden, Utah; and Kylie Kirkpatrick, of Australia; four grandchildren; many aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends. Rick was a tender hearted, gentle giant of a man that left a lasting impression on people fortunate enough to get to know him. He was truly loved and will be greatly missed, until we meet again. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 11, 2016 at The Church of Christ of Latter-day Saints. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
