Richard Erickson

Richard Alan Erickson (Big Rich) passed away April 16th 2015 after a lengthy battle of health issues. He was born January 19th, 1956 in Duluth Minnesota to Howard and Delores Erickson. The Erickson family settled in Arlee, Montana. At a young age Richard was his father's right-hand man learning to change pipe, put up hay and other farm duties. He was also the right-hand man for other local farmers and ranchers. Richard graduated from Arlee High School in 1974. On June 8th, 1979, Richard married (the love of his life) Sandy. They settled in Arlee where Richard worked various jobs in the trucking industry, which led them to Casper, Wyoming. He enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, bowling and playing poker and cribbage with his buddies. Most of all his phone calls to family and friends. He is survived by his wife Sandy of 35 years. Three children Brian Erickson of Missoula, Shawna Erickson of Arlee, and Angela Erickson of Casper. Grandchildren Nathaniel, Noah, NataLee and AnnaHaya all of Arlee, MT. Mother Delores Erickson of Seattle, sister Ruth Ann Erickson of Seattle. He was proceeded in death by his father Howard Erickson. A celebration of life for Richard will be held in Arlee at a later date.
