Rebecca Jean Tucker July 2, 1954 - January 21, 2017 Rebecca Jean Tucker, 62, passed away on January 21, 2017, at Hospice in Casper, after a battle with cancer. Rebecca was born on July 2, 1954 in Casper. She was the oldest child of John and Winona (Wetmore) Tucker. She was raised in Casper, attending Fort Caspar and Garfield elementary schools, Dean Morgan Junior High School and graduating from Natrona County High School in 1973. In 1974 she enlisted in the United States Navy and served at the Naval Air Stations in Virginia and in Puerto Rico. She was discharged in 1978. Upon her discharge from the Navy, she returned to Casper, and began working for Safeway, where she was employed for 30 years, until 2008. For the last few years, she was the care taker for her father. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Rebecca enjoyed spending time with her family and she enjoyed camping trips with them. She liked ;to spend her summer vacations camping with her parents and nieces in the Mountains by Dubois, WY. She also enjoyed fishing trips to Alcova Lake and Pathfinder Lake. Rebecca was preceded in death by her Mother, Winona, in 2010. She is survived by her Father, John Tucker of Casper; a sister, DeLayne Cory (Kenneth) of Casper; a brother, Glenn Tucker (Carol) of Mesa, Arizona; three nieces, Kathleen Smith, Adrienne Cory, and Carrie Grimmy, and one nephew Glenn Tucker, Jr. and by eight great nieces and nephews. Services for Rebecca will be held on Friday, Jan. 27, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Stake Center on W. 45th St. The service will be officiated by Bishop Brandon Smith of the Casper 7th Ward. Cremation has taken place and her ashes will be intered later this spring.
