A Vigil will be Thursday July 19th, at St. Anthony's at 5:00 p.m. and a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Rebecca, age 61 passed on unexpectedly on July 12th, 2018. She was born March 7th, 1957 in Casper, Wyoming to Armin and Cecilia Schmitt. She attended Garfield Elementary, Dean Morgan Junior High and graduated from Natrona County High School in 1975. She attended Casper College and received an associate's degree in business. She was a business manager at Schmitt Mini Warehouses and the sole caregiver to both her parents for several years before their passing. Rebecca had a strong faith in God, loved to help people and strived to make the world a better place. She was a Sunday school teacher at St. Anthony's and was the Natrona County Right to Life treasurer for 5 years when her children were young. She was a pro-life advocate throughout her life with her whole family thankful and proud to be by her side. She also attended the 2017 March for Life with her three daughters and son Justin. She always had great joy when lives were saved. Rebecca was a very gifted singer starting at a young age; she performed in Little Miss and was in choir throughout junior high and high school. In her early 20's she had recorded two albums and starred in a silent black and white film with Bill Paxton and her father, Armin. She sang for St. Anthony Tri-Parish Churches for many years as well as at weddings and funerals. Most recently she sang with her daughters in the 2017 Christmas choir at Highland Park Community Church. She was a loving mother, sister, daughter and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and friends. We miss her dearly and look forward to the day we will all be together in Heaven, she has now been lovingly embraced by the ones who went before her. She is singing in the Heavenly choir praising her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Rebecca's close family survivors include her sister, Margaret Schmitt; six of her seven children: Jesse Marquez, Justin Marquez, Joshua Marquez, Andrea Moore (married to son-in-law Elijah Moore), Adriana Marquez, Alexandra Marquez and grandchildren: Antonio, Taylor and Chloe Marquez. Rebecca's loved ones who went to Heaven before her include her son Mario Marquez and her parents Armin and Cecilia Schmitt. We don't have to say goodbyes, only see you thens. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. ~John 3:16~
