Rebecca Atwood

Rebecca Lynn Vermeulen Atwood was born March 27, 1972 in Mitchell, South Dakota. Her parents are Gary and Maxine Vermeulen of Casper, WY. She Graduated in 1990 from Natrona County High School and served in the US Army from May 1991 thru May 1995 as a heavy wheeled vehicle mechanic. After training she spent 2 years in Berlin and 1 ½ years in Colorado Springs, CO. Rebecca married Howard Atwood on Dec. 19th, 2007 in Casper, WY. She loved hunting, fishing, camping, spending time with family but most of all Michael Jackson was her favorite. Rebecca passed away on July 26th, 2016 at Wyoming Medical Center with her family by her side. She is survived by her husband Howard Atwood, step-son Glenn Michael Atwood, her parents Gary and Maxine Vermeulen, her brother Chris Vermeulen and his wife Nancy, their kids Katie, Makaylee, Logan, Tessa and grandson Ryan. Her sister Misty Becker and her husband Josh, their kids Josh, Zach and Melissa. Her grandmother Alice Mayer of Mitchell, South Dakota, along with other Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many friends. A gathering of bikes and vehicles to leave Monday August 1st, 2016 at 9am from Bustards Funeral home for a parade to The Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery in Evansville, WY for funeral and military services at 9:30am.
