Rea Kay Cassidy, passed away after suffering with the final stages of C.O.P.D. at Life Care Center of Casper, Wyoming on May 26, 2017. Rea would have been 82 July 27, 2017. Rea was born July 27, 1935 in Perkins County, South Dakota, to Maynard Kock and Ruth (Holty) Kock. Rea grew up in Hettinger, North Dakota and graduated from High School in Hettinger. She moved to Livingston, Montana, married Robert Schock and then later married Tom Cassidy and moved to Casper, Wyoming. Rea has three living children: Steve Olson (Natalie) from MN and have 3 children: Jackie (Galen) from MN and one child; Brenda (Ron) from WY, and have two children. Rea has one daughter Lisa that is deceased with two children. Rea has nine grandchildren. Rea has three living brothers; Douglas Kock, MT, Lynn Kock, MT and Cordell Kock (Barbara), ND and one sister, Mary Ellen Kock. Rea has numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Rea is predeceased in death by her parents, her brother, Daryl Kock, her sister, Janell Brown, and her niece, Mary Lynn Okuly. Rea worked for the school district for many years and then she worked for the Wyoming Unemployment office for many more years until she retired. Rea loved to garden, can all her goodies and loved to do crossword puzzles. Rea especially loved to sew, read books and the newspaper. The family would like to thank the staff at Life Care Center for the kindness, patience and care that you all have given Rea during her stay at the center. Rea truly appreciated each and every one of you. Also, the family would like to thank Bill, the Funeral Director at Bustard's Funeral Home for taking care of all the details and being so patient with the family. There will be a Graveside service at 11:00 A.M. at Highland Cemetery. If anyone would like to attend, you are more than welcome to come to the Cemetery and bid your last farewell to Rea.
