Raymond Ruhter

Raymond Robert Ruhter, 62, went home to heaven on July 19th, 2015 at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming. Ray was born on November 26, 1952 in Denver Colorado to Donald Ruhter and Ruth (Lange) Stewart. He married Bonnie Mae Campbell on August 26, 1973. They lived in Casper, Wyoming where they raised three children together. Ray was a truck driver for 41 years. He worked for several local trucking companies before starting his own business, RRRuhter Truck Transportation. Ray was a member of Mt. Hope Lutheran Church and the Central Wyoming Corvette Club. In addition to Corvettes, Ray loved John Deere tractors, Kenworth semi-trucks, fishing, and boating; but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his seven grandchildren. He was a friend to all and left a smile on the face of everyone he met. Ray was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth; his sister, Connie; and his brother, Roger. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; his father, Donald; his daughters, Stephanie (Rodney) Olson of Cheyenne, WY and Amanda (Jason) Parks of Casper, WY; his son, Paul (Kimberly) Ruhter of Billings, MT; and his grandchildren Megan, Mariah, Brody, Christian, Ashley, Layne, and Kylee. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Bustard's Funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, July 24, 2015 at Mt. Hope Lutheran Church with Pastor Daniel Holthus officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Hope Lutheran Church.
