Raymond Nilsen

Raymond T. Nilsen, age 90, of Casper, passed away June 21, 2019. Ray was born October 28, 1928 in Litchfield, Nebraska to Berg and Mable Nilsen. He graduated from Natrona County High School and served in the Korean War. He worked at the Casper Post Office for 30 years. His second career - more of a hobby - was working at auctions. Ray was an avid collector, hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed working on cars, camping at the lake and working in his shop. Ray was preceded in death by his parents; son, Terry Nilsen; and daughter, Renee Chapman. He is survived by his daughters; Karlene (Norm) Lefeldt; Lori (Guy) Lund; and Dee (Gary) Bowers; sisters, Merna Montgomery; Edith Knittle; and Mildred Knittle; and son-in-law, Larry Chapman. He was blessed with eleven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held on Monday, July 22 at 10:00 a.m. at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery.
