Raymond Kensmoe

Funeral liturgy for Ray Kensmoe will be celebrated August 2, 2013 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Father Fox. Rosary was said Thursday at the church. He died 7/29/13 around 9:00pm. He was born October 28, 1925 on a ranch near Bundy, Montana to Henry and Anna "Sado" Kensmoe. He grew up in Montana and graduated high school in Roundup, Montana in 1943. He served with the U.S. Navy after graduation, in the South Pacific during World War II for 2.5 years. He was honorably discharged in June 1946. He then attended the University of Montana, before going to work for International Harvester in Billings, Montana. He married Harriett A Wolfe in Billings in February 1951. They then moved to Casper where he worked as a salesman for Western Equipment Co. They have three children, Mark, David and Debbie. He worked for Nolan Chevrolet & Schulte Chevrolet as Truck and Sales manager for 14 years. Then he worked as part owner and general manager at Plymouth Center for 7 years. In June of 1973 he joined Hilltop National Bank where he retired after 14.5 years as Vice President - Marketing. He served as President of the Casper Automobile Dealers Association, and Vice President of the Wyoming Automobile Dealers Association. He served on the board of the Red Cross, as a division chairman for the United Way, a member of the Casper Kiwanis Club and a member of the Casper Elks Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and cross country skiing. Survivors include; his wife, Harriett; a daughter, Debbie Manning of Grand junction, CO; son Mark Kensmoe of Casper WY; son David Kensmoe of Seattle WA; brother Gordon Kensmoe of Phoenix, AZ; and two granddaughters, Sarah and Jillian; and great grandsons Braydon & Kian and great granddaughter Chloe. He was preceded in death by his father & mother, two older brothers, Joseph & Don; Sister Marie and granddaughter Rachel. He will be greatly missed. Bustard's Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
