Peter Feeney

Peter J. Feeney died of cancer on December 8, 2015. He was born on May 26, 1947 and raised in Ridgefield Park, NJ. He graduated from Kean University in NJ in 1969. He served two years as a Vista Volunteer before attending and graduating from the University of Wyoming Law School in 1974. Since then, he has practiced law in Casper. He served as a Municipal Court Judge from 1978 to 1993. He was a family lawyer and loved his work, especially adoption. Peter was a member of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys from 1993 to 2013, and served on the Board from 1998 to 2000. Peter is survived by his loving wife of 16 years Mitzi, and his children; Ryan (Carrie) Feeney, Chantilly, VA, Tony (Rebeca) Feeney, Costa Rica; Patty Feeney, Austin, TX; Professor Mary Feeney, Phoenix, AZ; Dennis (Chelsea) Feeney, Moscow, ID; Dan Feeney, Casper, WY; and Ray (Emily) Feeney, Crystal Lake, IL; along with five grandchildren, Jacob, Valaria, Saoirse, Cormac, and Natalie Feeney. He is also survived by his stepchildren; Vicki (Terry) Gordon, Westminster, CO, Ric (Dorothy) Durdahl, Todd (Jill Holt) Durdahl, and Craig (Lenny) Durdahl, all of Casper, along with seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Peter is preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Alma Feeney, his brother, Dennis and son James, stepgrandson Zakary Durdahl. Service will be held at Saint Patrick's Church 10:00 AM Saturday, December 12, 2015. Reception will follow at Casper Country Club from 12pm-3pm.
