Peggy Propp

April 9, 1935 — July 11, 2017

Peggy Sue (Hodge) Propp, 82, passed away July 11, 2017 with her daughter by her side. She was born in Ottawa, Kansas on April 9, 1935 to Milton Jerry Hodge and Esther June (McCormick) Hodge. She moved to Casper, WY at age 2 and later met the love of her life Gary Propp. After Peggy graduated from Natrona County High School in 1953, she and Gary got married on July 25, which was cause for celebration for 56 years. They had 2 children Janeen and Jeffery. Peggy was a secretary for State Farm for many years and she and Gary were avid bowlers and members at the Elks Lodge; where they met many friends and had great adventures. However, Peggy's greatest love was her family (including her fur babies) and spending time with them, especially cheering at any and all of their sporting events. She loved the mountains and the family spent many weekends up in the Bighorns camping. She passed her love of history, reading, bird watching, gardening, crossword puzzles and especially baking onto her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. She loved to watch or listen to her NC Mustangs, Wyoming Cowboys, Denver Broncos and the Colorado Avalanche and her love of chocolate was well known especially her homemade brownies. Peggy is survived by her daughter Janeen Legerski (Dale) of Casper WY, her daughter-in-law Debra Propp of Casper WY, her 4 grandchildren, Jennifer Legerski of Casper, WY, Dustin Propp (Melissa) of Minot, ND, Joshua Propp (Megan) of Casper, WY, and Elicia Propp of Casper ,WY. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, Jesse Arnold (Alex), Alexys Arnold, Drew Legerski, Kaylee Legerski, Kyndall Turnwall, Jaydin Propp and Bentley Propp. She is preceded in death by both her parents, her beloved husband Gary, her son Jeffery Propp, her grandson Michael Legerski, and her 3 Schnauzers. A private celebration will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Wyoming Hospice, 319 S. Wilson, Casper WY 82601.
