Paul Burton

Paul Peterson Burton, 80, passed away on May 16, 2018 at Life Care Center in Casper, after suffering from numerous strokes over three years' time. Paul was born August 19, 1937 in Afton, Wyoming to Winfield Ballantyne and Harriet Almira (Peterson) Burton. He earned his Bachelor's and Master's degree in Education. He worked in business management and as an instructor. On June 11, 1957 he married Ramona L. Fyffe in Salt Lake City, Utah. Paul and Ramona had 5 children. He enjoyed directing and singing in the choir, carpentry, playing the flute, fishing, camping, reading, and doing household and automobile repairs . Paul was interested in Genealogy, airplanes and flying, Geology, and fossil science. He also had numerous other interests. Paul is survived by his spouse and sweetheart Ramona; daughters, Ronda Stapleton of Lacey, WA, Lorna Swenson of Palmdale, CA, Vonna Rawlins of Warrenton, VA; sons, Terry Burton of St. Johns, AZ, Rynn Burton of Anchorage, AK; 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. A viewing for Paul will be held from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM, Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center, 3931 W. 45th Street. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at the Afton Cemetery in Afton, Wyoming.
