Paul Arthur Decker

  Paul Arthur Decker, 92 years old, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away on January 9, 2023, in Casper, Wyoming.

  Paul was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Edgar and Lucy Decker on July 14, 1930. He attended Guernsey High School and graduated in 1948. He went on to work for Texas Oil Company in 1948, where he worked in various positions including pipe fitter, boiler operator, water treatment, and foreman, with a leave from 1951-1953 when he served in the United Stated Army, as a truck driver, during the Korean War, and was honorably discharged in 1953 returning to the Texas Oil Company, later known as Texaco, where he retired in 1987.

  He enjoyed hobbies that included classic automobiles, including the restoration of a 1926 Buick Coupe, license plates, old gas pumps, and bowling. He was a member of the Boyd Avenue Baptist Church, Horseless Carriage Club, and Good Sam’s travel and enjoyed traveling with his wife, Lillian.

  Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian, parents, Edgar and Lucy Decker, siblings, Alice Sanders, Thurman Decker, Robert Decker, Herb Decker, Gerald Decker, Max Decker, and Clyde Decker.

  Paul is survived by his sister, Janice Belden-Gillette, WY, daughter, Paula Smith-Wilsonville, OR, stepsons, Bruce Kiser-Billings, MT and Wayne Kiser (Debbie)-Casper, WY, grandchildren, Denice Smith-Wilsonville, OR, Andrew Smith-Wilsonville, OR, Christopher Smith-Denver, CO, Tony Kiser (Lou)-Casper, WY, Tonya Kiser-Missoula, MT, Tim Kiser-Billings, MT, Kristi Merrell (Trent)-Casper, WY, Robyn Mostello (Tom)-Casper, WY, nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.

  A service of Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery, 80 Veterans Rd, Evansville, WY 82636, where inurnment will occur. All those who knew Paul are welcome to attend. A memorial service will occur later this year.
