Patricia U. Holscher passed away on April 9, 2016 in Casper Wyoming at age 90. She was born in St. Lambert Quebec on April 23, 1925 to William Wickham and Agnes Leocadia Wickham and was one of eight children. She grew up in the Montreal region and spent her early adulthood there as part of her large extended family. In her early 20s she struck out west and moved to Alberta where she worked as a secretary in the oil and gas industry. In the mid-1950s, after going to Denver, Colorado to assist her sister Marguerite with her wedding, she moved to Casper and obtained work here. She met her husband, Thomas L. Holscher, DDS, at St. Anthony's Church in Casper and they married in November 1958. They had one son, Patrick Holscher. She was always very close with her siblings who, like her, spread throughout North America in their adult lives and she kept up an active correspondence with all of them until advanced old age prevented it. Always an intellectually active person, she was an avid reader and a student of history and science. She liked to sketch and paint. She obtained an Associates Degree in Casper College in the 1970s and continued to take additional courses at Casper College thereafter. A very physically active person, she rode a bicycle, weather permitting, nearly daily up until her early 80s and swam every day up until she was 83 years old. An avid follower of politics in her adopted country as well as her native one, she obtained her U.S. citizenship in the mid 1990s in order that she could vote. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas L. Holscher, her brothers Mark Wickham and Robert Wickham, and her sisters Sheila Landry and Marguerite Lefebvre. She is survived by her son Patrick Holscher and his wife Darcie, and their children Marcus and Alexis, as well as her brothers Edmund Wickham and Terrence Wickham and her sister Brenda Peterson. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church at 10:00 on Thursday, April 14. A Rosary shall be held at Bustards Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 13. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Stephens Indian Mission Foundation or St. Joseph's Children Home.
