With deep regret, we announce the passing of Patricia L. Elston on June 21, 2010. She had battled diabetes for twenty years. She was born to Orville and Grace Crosier in Sand Point, Idaho on June 11, 1928. She started school in Buffalo Gap, South Dakota. She worked her way through high school in Hot Springs, South Dakota. There she met and married Vere D. Elston in 1947. They had nine children. They worked on ranches in Dakota and moved to Wyoming in 1956 where they followed road construction. In 1960 they settled in the Casper/Mills area. She worked as a housekeeper for several years for the Davis and Roden families. She lived at Garden Square assisted living the last four years. She was preceded in death by her son Terry D. Elston, her husband Vere D. Elston, son Ora O. Elston and great grandson Uriah Collins. She is survived by her brother Herbert Crosier, sisters Peggy Ketler, Susanna Greenwood and Judy Hackman. Her surviving children are Tim Elston with wife Pam, Karen Alberding with husband Lowell, Darrell Elston, Lonny Elston with wife Peggy, Dan Elston with wife Maria, Patricia Singer with husband Tracy and Pam Strother with husband Tom. She enjoyed life and her many friends, especially camping and gardening. She spent most of her time crocheting blankets for all her many grandchildren and great grandchildren during her later years. She also crocheted doll dresses and restored many old dolls for her friends. She is dearly missed already. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 PM, Friday, June 25, 2010 at the Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery Chapel by Chaplain Leonard Robinson. Interment will follow at the cemetery.
