Pamela M. (Green) Wattis 50, passed away peacefully at her home Tuesday, September 17th, 2013. She was born April 28th, 1963 to Margo M. Green (Johnson) and John R. Green in Santa Monica, CA. Pam grew up in California the oldest of two children. At the age of 21 Pam moved to Casper, Wyoming where shortly after arriving she met her husband Gary L. Wattis. They were married February 15th, 1986 in Casper and later that year they had their only child Kyle L. Wattis. Following the birth of her son Pam became a devoted, loving wife and mother. She had many interests including cooking and crafts such as beading, jewelry making, and soap making. As a devoted mother she enjoyed cheering her son on in his many sports and activities. She enjoyed shopping especially for gifts for family and friends. Due to her love of clothes she worked at Wits End Clothing Store in Casper for many years. She was also employed at her friends Gary and Vivi Crandall's art gallery Artist's Choice in Casper. She was supportive of many charitable organizations including Jason's Friends, The 12-24 Club, The Nicolaysen Art Museum and Discovery Center, The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and many others. Pam loved animals from childhood and was constantly surrounded by pets from hedgehogs to horses. Her love of animals resulted in her obtaining a job at Aquatics and Critters in Casper when she first arrived from California. Pam's recent trip to South Africa gave her the opportunity to view wildlife and interact with young lions and cheetahs which was a highlight in a life full of love and devotion to animals. She was especially devoted to her dogs including her current dogs Spud and Bullet. The animals at the family ranch from the bulls to the newborn calves were treated as family pets. The thing Pam loved most was her family and holidays with family were always a special time for her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Gary; son, Kyle Wattis (Brandy Bollinger) of Casper; mother Margo Green of Yorba Linda, California; father, John Green (Anne) of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho; and brother, John Green (Janelle) of Yorba Linda, California.
