On January 31, 2018, Ohly Callies of Casper, Wyoming passed away peacefully at the age of 76 following a lengthy illness. Cremation has taken place. Ohly was born May 6, 1941, in Casper, Wyoming, to Fredrick Daniel Callies & Hilda Mildred (Overman) Callies. He attended Casper elementary and junior high schools, as well as Natrona County High School. On November 15, 1958, Ohly married Carol Lee Bryant. In 1959, Ohly enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served our Country for four years. During his marriage to Carol, they had five children, but divorced years later. In 1977 Ohly married Linda Sue Mason, who brought with her a young child who became a brother and son. Ohly enjoyed spending time with his children, family and friends, enjoyed bowling, riding horses and roping, camping, fishing, and hunting. During his life, Ohly worked at various places including Kansas-Nebraska Gas Company; White Ditching; as police officer for the Casper Police Department, receiving numerous commendations; a truck driver for Little America Refinery; delivering Teton Homes across the country; RV sales and service while he and Linda lived in Illinois for a few years, and eventually started his own side business servicing and winterizing trailers there. He enjoyed the RV sales business and made many friends along his journey who still remember him fondly as a unique and happy guy, and easy to talk to. Ohly had a quick wit, and always enjoyed a good practical joke. Ohly is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda of Casper, Wyoming; children, Fred M. (Tess) Callies of Fredericksburg, Virginia; Debbie Stoneking (Charles Bryant) of Evansville, Wyoming; Dorinda Bechtell of Riverton, Wyoming; Cindy (Jared) Shiver of Casper, Wyoming; Clinton (Lynn) Callies of Casper, Wyoming; and, 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Ohly in death were his parents and his son, Todd. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 5, 2018, 10:00 a.m. at Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery in Evansville, Wyoming. Church services will then be held at 11:30 A.M., at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1240 S. Missouri Ave, with a reception following. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ohly's name to either the Casper Humane Society or Central Wyoming Hospice. .
