Norman Bideau

November 4, 1938 — February 28, 2018

Norman Roy Bideau, November 4, 1938 - February 28, 2018,age 79,Casper, Wyoming After suffering a heart attack Saturday, Feb. 24th, he was surrounded by family, friends and love until his passing at Central Wyoming Hospice. Born in Chanute, Kansas, Norman "followed his dinner plate" to Casper at the age of 7. He attended NCHS, University of Wyoming and Casper College, where he met his bride to be, Irma. This young determined couple wanted a house, but couldn't get a loan. They struggled and saved, bought a lot, found plans, and did the pay as you go build-your-own-house-plan. Several years later, they moved in, with a baby on the way... they were truly house-broke! Owner, Operator of Bideau Drilling, for 40 years, "Stormin' Norman" pursued Uranium Exploration and during the 80's transitioned to deep water wells for oil companies in Wyoming. He enjoyed outdoor life including camping, fly fishing, and taking road trips to the West. He claimed, "It's not American to go East." An active member of the United Methodist Church, Norman could be seen decorating for Christmas, driving the church van, participating with Methodist men and playing church volleyball with great zeal. He enjoyed neighborhood basketball, coaching baseball and softball. Often neighborhood kids would ask Irma, "Can your Daddy come out and play?" He was preceeded in death by his parents, Roy E. Bideau and Madelene Bideau. He is survived by his wife Irma, his daughter Libby and son Joe as well as many beloved relatives on Irma's side of the family. Donations may be made to Central Wyoming Hospice or Alzhiemer's Disease Research 22512 Gateway Center Dr. PO Box 1950 Clarksburg, Maryland 20871-1950 Services to be held at First United Methodist Church, May 5th at 2PM.
