Nat Slagter

Funeral services for Mr. Nat Slagter, 85, of Glenrock, WY will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, August 1, 2015, at Bustard's Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Glenrock Cemetery. Reception to follow the interment at the Glenrock Senior Cernter. Mr. Slagter passed away July 25, 2015 in Casper, WY. Nat was born August 22, 1929 in Roswell, New Mexico to Nat and Gladys Slagter. He was raised in the oil fields of Wyoming. At the age of 17 he made the natural decision to make a career in the oil fields that had raised him taking employment with Continental Oil Company . He spent his entire career with Continental until he retired in 1984. Nat loved hunting, fishing, rock hunting and jewelry making, most of all he loved telling stories of his adventures and misadventures. Nat will be greatly missed. Nat was preceded in death by his wife Mary, sister Kathy Fox and his daughter Linda Wing. He is succeeded by three sons; Ben (Monty) Slagter, Fritz (Marci) Valentine, Jim (Sherri) Valentine, three daughters; Marie (Darol) Bennett, Liz (Brian) Torno, and Mary Anne (Mike) Valentine-Brelsford. In addition Nat will be missed by his 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren as well as many life long friends.
