Nancy Tweedy

Mrs. Nancy A. Tweedy, 76, passed away November 11, 2013 at her home in Casper. Cremation was held under the direction of Bustard's Funeral Home. Burial of the cremains will be held later in Illinois, Nancy's home. - Nancy A. Tweedy passed away peacefully at her home in Casper on Tuesday November 12th. Mrs. Tweedy was born August 6th 1936 in Meredosia Illinois, where she also graduated from High School. In 1955 she married the love of her life Charles R Tweedy Sr., and they moved to Casper Wyoming in 1963. Her husband Charles died in 1989. Nancy worked for, and retired from the Safeway store on CY Avenue in Casper . After her retirement she went on to start a second career at Wendy's International. She was known and loved by many of the people that regularly visited that restaurant. Nancy enjoyed the daily interaction with all of the people she met while serving as the hostess there. Mrs. Tweedy is survived by her three children, Dr. Charles Tweedy Jr. of Ft. Collins Co., Shane Tweedy of The Woodlands Tx., and Damon Brett Tweedy of Casper; one sister Sandra L. Rausch of Meredosia Ill.; 5 grandchildren, Cody Tweedy, Alex Tweedy, Prescott Tweedy, Colin Tweedy, and Kyle Tweedy; 2 Great Grandchildren, Ryan Tweedy and Cooper Tweedy. As per her request, no memorial service will be held at this time, but a memorial has been planned in Illinois for the summer of 2014. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family has requested that contributions can be made in her honor with the American Cancer Society, or the Central Wyoming Hospice Center .
