Myrna Hill

Myrna Bea (Moncur) Hill, 82, passed away Friday, June 13th, 2014 at Wyoming Medical Center, embraced and supported by her loving family. Myrna was born June 7th, 1932 in Lovell, Wyoming to Marvin and Eliza Mae (Bassett) Moncur. She lived in Lovell until the summer of 1947 at which time the family moved to Casper Wyoming. She graduated from Natrona County High School in 1950 and attended Casper College. On January 25th, 1951 she married the love of her life Lloyd G. (Ted) Hill in Casper, Wyoming. While Ted attended the University of Wyoming, they lived in Laramie, Wyoming and Myrna was an Elementary School Librarian. Ted later attended Creighton University taking them to Omaha, Nebraska where Myrna worked for Mutual of Omaha. In 1952 they moved to Chicago, Illinois where Ted attended Loyola University receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in 1956. While in Chicago Myrna was a stay at home mom for their first 2 children. 1956 they returned to Casper, Wyoming. Myrna continued being a stay at home mom to their 5 children. She never missed a sporting event or school activity that any of her children were involved in. Myrna volunteered frequently with Our Lady of Fatima Church and Casper Service League. Through the years she enjoyed golf, bowling, reading and playing bridge. On June 15th 2006, she lost her soul mate of 55 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Eliza Mae Moncur, Brother, Bruce Moncur, Husband, Dr. Lloyd G. (Ted) Hill, Son, Gregory Charles Hill and Daughter-in-law, DeNece Hill. Myrna is survived by her three sons, Jeffrey C Hill and wife Sally, of Palisade, Colorado, Bradley C Hill and wife Rhonda of Lander, Wyoming, Dr. Rodney C Hill and wife Brenda, of Casper, Wyoming, daughter, Kimberle A Kelty and husband Jeff of Casper, Wyoming, daughter-in- law, Kathy Hill, sister-in-law, Joyce Meier, grandchildren, Katie Hauff, Charla Hill, Garrett Hill, Kayleigh Hill, Justin Macy and wife Amanda, Cody Sandfort, Nathanial Nelson, Corey Dwyer, Stephanie Grote and husband John, Joel Defbaugh, Robby and Maddie Harnett, Justin, Leah and Abby Juarez, Katie Keesbery; great grandchildren, Gracie, Konnor and Presley Macy, Railin Manchester, Paidyn Adams, nephew Steve Moncur and wife Jacque, niece Julie Ledger and husband Rob. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, in Casper, Wyoming on Saturday, June 21st, 2014 at 10 a.m. The internment will follow the Mass, where Myrna will be laid to rest at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Casper, WY. In Memory of Myrna Bea (Moncur) Hill, the family respectfully suggests donations in her memory be made to Boys and Girls Club of Central Wyoming and Meals on Wheels of Central Wyoming, or a charity of your choice.
