Miranda Orr

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Miranda Lee (Counts) Orr. Miranda’s untimely passing occurred on January 17, 2022, at the age of 38. Her family was unprepared for this news, as this was a very unexpected loss. She touched the lives of many. Miranda offered a level of optimism that was brutally honest, completely heartfelt and was never one to mince words. She saw the world as it was despite the challenges that existed, and still looked toward the beauty and good in all. Anyone that knew Miranda was touched by her kindness, humor and “mild” temperament. She truly was a peacemaker, with a fiery temper and a heart full of pride. She loved deeply, and we take comfort in knowing that Miranda is now at peace.

Miranda was born February 28, 1983, to Tony and Dorothy Counts in Casper, Wyoming. She graduated from Natrona County High School in 2001 and went on to Casper College and received her Phlebotomy license. Miranda was a Phlebotomist at US Renal Care for 5 years and truly cared about all her patients.

She always enjoyed attending her children’s sporting events and helping them with 4-H projects.  You could always find her in the barn playing with the pigs, or on the side of the ring watching her kids show their livestock. She always wanted the best for her 3 kids and for them to succeed in all aspects of their lives.

Miranda leaves behind her parents Dorothy and Tony Counts, 3 children Kylie, Kaden, and Kassidy Orr and their father, Michael Orr, 2 sisters Jamie Counts and Toni Stewart, 1 nephew Tylor Counts, and 3 nieces Kelseigh Eason, Ashley and Cody Stewart. As well as many other family and friends.

She was never really one for sentiment, but she wanted you to know that if she owes you a beer, if you can find her in heaven, she will gladly buy you another one.

The funeral will be held at Bustard & Jacoby Funeral Home funeral home on January 24th at 2pm with reception to follow at the Gaslight Social.
