Milton Corbin

August 16, 1929 — January 13, 2014

Lifelong resident and gentlemen, Milton Lewis Corbin, left this earth at Hospice Center and went to his heavenly home on January 13, 2014. He was 84 years old. He was born on August 16, 1929, to Helen Jean "Sally" (Welshonse) and Burton Henry Corbin. Milt attended various schools in Casper including Park and Dean Morgan and graduated from NCHS in 1947. He worked for Marathon Oil Company for 40 years, which included five years for Oasis Oil Company (A subsidiary of Marathon in Tripoli, Libya). He was an avid bowler and organizer for his graduating class reunions, as well as being instrumental in the organization of state and company-wide bowling tournaments, monthly picnics and/or breakfasts for retired or active Marathon employees. A faithful volunteer for Meals on Wheels, he knew no strangers and continued to be a compassionate, charitable man. As a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church, he will long be remembered for his generosity and devotion to his Lord and Savior. A gifted musician, he played piano for personal enjoyment and briefly at business establishments in Casper. He was a lifelong member of the Elks Club and Masons. He was always willing to help organize activities. He is survived by his wife, Carol A. (Weitzel) Corbin of Casper; daughter, Carol Moore of Bozeman, MT; son, Jeff (Barb) of Denver, CO; grandson, Roman (Dusti) Brittenham of Golden, CO; granddaughter, Danielle (Aaron) Diment of Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Kenny Sailors of Laramie, WY; and several great-grandchildren. Milt was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Marilynne Sailors, great aunt, Cora Hershiser, who was very instrumental in raising him; and aunt, Bernice Welshonse. Bustard's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. At Milts request, no funeral services will be held. Cremation has taken place. Donations or memorials can be made to, First United Methodist Church, Meals on Wheels, Wyoming Rescue Mission, Seaton or Central Wyoming Hospice.
