Mildred Knittle

Mildred (Millie) Mae (Nilsen) Knittle passed away May 25, 2021 in Casper, Wyoming.

She was born June 3, 1933 in Litchfield, Nebraska. At three years old she moved to Wyoming. She lived most of her life in Casper except for three months with her husband living in El Paso, Texas.

Upon completion of high school she worked for the Bureau of Reclamation, then went on to work for the Credit Union, and then went to work for USGS until she retired.

Her hobbies included gardening, painting and crocheting hats. She made many thousands of  hats for the school children, senior citizens and the underprivileged.

Mildred was preceded in death by her older sister, Merna Montgomery and her older brother, Raymond Nilsen, and her husband, Mark Q. Knittle.

She is survived by her younger sister, Edith Knittle, and also many nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral will be held at a later date to be determined.
