Michelle Marie Jerue, 61, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2024, after a long, hard fought battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones. Michelle, known to her loved ones as Shelley, was born on January 9, 1963, in Anaconda, Montana, to her late mother, Dorothy Johnson. Shelley was a loving, caring, and compassionate individual who dedicated her life to caregiving and customer service. Her many years of experience in these fields reflected her passion for helping others. She was known for her hardworking and dependable nature, traits that made her an exceptional caregiver and a reliable friend.
In her free time, Shelley enjoyed indulging in her hobbies of crafting, traveling, baking, cooking, and entertaining, always surrounded by her beloved family. Her quirky sense of humor, patience, assertiveness, and positive outlook on life made her a joy to be around. Her friends and family will always remember her for her sarcasm, strength, and ability to bring laughter to any situation.
Shelley is survived by her sons, Howard Nuzum (Vanessa) and Matthew Nuzum (Kari), daughters Mariha Nuzum (Neil) and Barbara Gaught (Brandon), brothers Bryan Durocher (Anthony) and Darryl Durocher, multiple grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda Rae Durocher, birth mother Dorothy Johnson, adopted mother Elaine Nelson, sister Bobbi Stucki, brother Joe Durocher, and grandchildren Taylor Frost Nuzum and Kaid Thomas Nuzum.
Unwavering and unconditional love is the gift she gave to all who had the pleasure of knowing her, and the unwavering and unconditional love of our Lord in Heaven will be her gift in return. Let us remember her by the brave and selfless way she fought in the beginning, the middle, and the end of life.
A Celebration Of Life in Memory of Michelle Marie Jerue will be held on Saturday, May 25th at Moose Lodge #1957 in Gillette Wyoming from 2-4:00 p.m.
