Michael Skinner

Michael Franklin Skinner (Mike), 76, passed away October 22, 2021 at 4:15 a.m. of natural causes in Casper, Wyoming.

Mike was born December 18, 1944 in Casper. Mike married his high school sweetheart, Joyce Skinner in 1963 and staying in Casper they raised their three boys. Mike was a career contractor and took great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of his work. In 1980, Mike and his wife Joyce started their own contracting business, Skinner Construction Inc. In 1986 Mike, Joyce, and their son Mark moved to Yuma, Az. where Mike worked with the Spencer’s at the Development Group. Over a 30-year span, Mike was responsible for the construction of around 3,500 buildings.

In his free time, you could find Mike hunting and fishing. He shared a great pride and love of each, especially in the company of his family and friends.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, including his wife Joyce, his three boys John [Tez] Skinner of Casper, James [Teresa] Skinner, Curwensville, PA and Mark [Chanie] Skinner, Bend, OR, his five grand-kids, Ryan, Kelsey, Dayton, Rosie and James, three great grand-kids Ryan, Brewer and Blake. As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his little buddy Hank (Yorkie).

He was preceded in death by his father Leonard, mother Ruth and brother Russell (Pat).

“I’ve finished life’s chores assigned to me, so put me on a boat headed out to sea. Please send along my fishing pole for I’ve been invited to the fishin’ hole. Where every day is a day to fish, to fill your hearts with every wish. Don’t worry, or feel sad for me, I’m fishin’ with the master of the sea. We will miss each other for a while, but you will come and bring your smile. That won’t be long you will see, till we’re together you and me. Be happy as I go out to sea. If others wonder why I’m missin’ Just tell them I’ve gone Fishin’.”
