Michael Eugene O'Brien, of Casper, WY passed away February 14, 2017. He was born in Cheyenne, WY on June 29, 1946 to Stanley and Doris O'Brien. He graduated from Natrona County High School in 1965, where he met his bride to be Ginger Britton, and they were married December 22, 1966. He served in the United States Navy for 4 years and was honorably discharged as an AE2-E5. After the Navy he returned to Casper, where they started their family. Mike started his own business and worked hard for many years at Mike's Wrecker before retiring. Mike enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, playing poker{his favorite hand was Jack-4 to which his many poker friends referred to as lithe wreckers hand"), motorcycle riding, watching Celtic dance, listening to Irish music, and above all, spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Mike is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ginger O'Brien; his daughter, Kim (Ricky) Freeman of Texas; his son, Michael (Coni) O'Brien of Casper; his son, Aaron O'Brien of Casper; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren in Texas and Wyoming. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Louise and Peggy (Tom) Earnest; and his brother, Stan (Vicky) O'Brien. Mike is preceded in death by parents, Stanley and Doris; his sister, Catherine Armstrong and brother-in-law Jody Armstrong; his sister, Patty Lou; his sister, Doris Mae; and a granddaughter, Madison. Services with Military Honors will be Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 2pm at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery in Evansville. Following the service there will be a reception at Ginger and Mike's home located at 515 Riverview in Mills, WY.
