MICHAEL JOSEPH GOODWIN

CASPER-Michael Joseph Goodwin, 66, of Casper, went to meet his Lord peacefully in his sleep at the Central Wyoming Hospice & Transitions Facility-Casper Wyoming, February 28, 2020.  He was born August 12, 1953 to John and Lucille (Denzer) Goodwin in Santa Barbara, California.  He attended Santa Ynez Valley Union High School and graduated from Santa Maria High School in 1973.  He completed numerous technical training classes to support his work in the oil exploration industry.

Michal worked as a Motor Man and Derrick Hand for Bomac Drilling, Grace Drilling, Nabors Drilling and Sauers/DHS.  After his retirement from the oil exploration industry, Michael worked for the Casper Humane Society for many years.  Michael lived the Wyoming lifestyle, exploring, camping and fishing with family and friends.  His fondest memories were family stories, adventures with high school friends and befriending all of the animals at the Humane Society---his dogs were the loves of his life.

Michael is survived by his daughter Amy, his son Jessie; his sister Ann Sears; brother John (Mary) Goodwin; sister Frances (Mike) Reighley; sister Kathy Lunde; sister Patricia (Jimmy) Clark; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lucille Goodwin.

Michaels family extends thanks to the Wyoming Medical Center for their excellent facilities and professionalism while caring for him.  Additionally, we extend special thanks to the Central Wyoming Hospice & Transitions-Casper Wyoming team for their outstanding and caring support of Michael.
