Max Wilson, 81, passed away at home on October 20, 2015. He was born to Charles and Jessie (Talkington) Wilson in Craig, Colorado, on March 1, 1934. Max was the youngest of eight children. He trusted Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at the Craig Christian Church. Max graduated from Moffat County High School in Craig, Colorado. He was drafted into the Army near the end of the Korean Conflict. He was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. He attended Denver University on the G.I. Bill Max came to Wyoming to work in the Uranium industry. He moved to Casper in the early 1960's. In Casper, he met Carol Phillips. They were married on June 26, 1964 in South Dakota. Max and Carol were blessed with two daughters Phyllis and Kathleen. Carol passed away in 1999. Max worked for Texaco Refinery for 13 years. He also worked at the Dave Johnson Power Plant for 14 years. He was a member of the Utility Workers Union. Max was active in bowling. He enjoyed going to the Dave Johnson Veteran Luncheons where he always had a joke to share. He loved to go to the senior dances and the ladies loved to dance with him. Max loved to write poetry. He will be missed by his friends of Bill W. Max found love again, and married Annabelle Greene June 9, 2011. Max was preceded in death by Carol, his parents, Charles and Jessie, his brothers, Lloyd and Robert, his sisters, Ethel, Leota, Doris and Wanda. Max is survived by his sister Viola and his wife Annabelle. He is also survived by his daughters, Phyllis (Brad) Menzel, Kathleen (Tim "Bull") Bennett; grandchildren, Hunter, Broderick, Bailey (Menzel), Elizabeth, Shiloh, and Bryce (Bennett). Max is also survived by his step daughters, Von Dell Lisson, Cheryl (Allen) McVey; step grandchildren, Bobby, Ginger (Lisson), Teri McVey, Paul (Machel) McVey, step grandchildren, Cloy and Adie McVey. Max is also survived by his close family friends, Cindy and Keith Cooper, Lacy Bucher, Rachelle (Court) Boring, Rebekah and Danielle Cooper, and Lacey's children, LuFate, Ellouise and Annette. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 2:00pm at Christ United Methodist Church, 1868 S Poplar St., Casper, WY. Interment will be at the Oregon Trail Veteran Cemetery. Contributions in Max's memory can be made to Christ United Methodist Church.
