Max D. Neely Sr., 59, passed away on December 29, 2013 in Casper, surrounded by his family. He was born on October 9, 1954 in Casper. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Deany Fondren was the love of his life. He was raised by his mother Betty Neely, for whom he had a deep love and respect. He worked for twenty five years as a delivery driver for Nabisco. He loved the outdoors. Sometimes he would spend nights in his camper in town to make sure everything worked and to test the cold and to get his fill of the outdoors. He was an avid gardener, hunter, fisherman, and gun collector. He spent a great deal of time attending gun shows and even reloaded his own ammunition as a hobby. He spent as much time as possible with family in Casper and traveled frequently to Colorado to visit his daughter and three grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Charity Bray (Russell) from Castle Rock, Colorado, and Jessica Johnson (Tobias) from Casper, Wyoming; two brothers, Ernie Mair (Judy) and Chuck Neely, Casper; and a sister in law, Peggy Neely of Casper. He is also survived by three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, James Neely, mother Betty Arnold Neely, brother Alan Neely, son Max Neely Jr., and a granddaughter, Tenley Jessica Bray. .
