Matthew Garrett Geis

Matthew Garrett Geis, 51, of Casper, Wyoming passed away in August 2024 due to natural causes. 

Matthew was born in Ft. Knox, Kentucky on March 13th, 1973 to Second lieutenant Thomas Geis and Linda née Sackschewsky Geis. When he was a baby the family moved back to Omaha, Nebraska and following his parents divorce he, his mom and sister moved to Lincoln Nebraska and then moved to Casper, Wyoming in fall of 1978. He went on to graduate at Kelly Walsh High School. Following high school he went to work in the Oil FIeld in a successful welding career for his adult life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing drums and eating Fruity Pebbles. 

He is survived by his Mother Linda Lawson, His sons Garrett Geis, Gavin Geis, his daughter Mariah Geis, his granddaughter Gracelynn and his Aunt Theresa Geis-Hatton (Gerry). He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his father and his sister Tracie Geis.

He loved his family and was very proud to be a grandpa.
