Mason was born July 9, 2005 in Casper to Sonja Bryan and Garth Baughman. Mason loved to be outdoors and spent as much time as possible outside. He loved fishing, hiking, playing ball, swords, video games and just generally having fun. Mason's love of the outdoors came from his entire family. He absolutely loved playing basketball and worked so very hard to make the "A" team this year. He was a very smart and talented young man and had expressed his desire to become a marine biologist. He was an avid Yu-Gi-Oh card gamer. He knew most of the cards by heart and with the tiniest piece of info could tell you the name of the card, the abilities of the card, attack, defense, etc. He had the same kind of knowledge with video games. He could recall levels in vivid detail. Mason would regale anyone willing to listen to his gaming exploits. He loved to tell a story. When it came to Mason's family he was there for all of them no matter what. He took it upon himself to make sure that everyone was taken care of emotionally. His family meant the world to him. His grandpa Harold was a huge pillar in his life. They had a bond that went above and beyond grandpa and grandson. The exact same could be said for Mason's Grandpa, Roy. Mason loved going out to their ranch and helping with the chores, taking care of the animals, and just spending time with him. When it came to his Grandmas, he loved helping Grandma Mary in her Garden and playing board games with her. Mason watched Matlock, with Grandma Donna. They also spent time watching The Price Is Right and trying to guess the prices before the contestants. Mason loved his Mom more than anything. Mason and his mom went for walks, jogging, watched movies together, playing Mario Kart and relishing in the win against his mom, and also playing other games. They had long meaningful talks with each other. Mason looked up to his Dad and mimicked everything Garth did. They spent a lot of time playing games together on their phones, playing video games, working outside, playing catch and Frisbee golf. They also played fetch and ran with the dogs. Mason recently had 2 great step parents enter his life, Jerry Bryan and Tracy Baughman. Mason looked up to Jerry. They may not have always agreed but there was still a solid bond there. Tracy made a lasting impression on her new stepson. Mason always talked highly of her and he loved spending time with her. Mason was always walking around with a smile on his face. He would always be laughing and carrying on, trying to make a joke. He would be the first one in on a joke and never let you forget it. He was the kind of person that would light up the room. You couldn't help but smile when you saw him. Mason is survived by his mother Sonja Bryan (Jerry), father Garth Baughman (Tracy), sisters Serenity, Kyra and Makaylyn, and his brother Dillon. Grandparents Roy and Mary Baughman, Donna Hastings, Stephanie and Terry Blevins, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Mason will be greatly missed by all those lucky enough to have known him and been loved by him.
