Mary Weber

Memorial service for Mary Weber will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Mount Hope Lutheran Church with Pastor John Hill and Jon Garwood officiating. Mrs. Weber, 85, passed away September 16, 2011 at the Central Wyoming Hospice Home in Casper, Wyoming. Mary Weber was born in Dietz, WY on June 19, 1926 to Joe and Anna (Wiezbricki) Stuka. She was raised there and attended Dietz School for eight years. Mary graduated from Sheridan High School and received her B.A. Degree from the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming. Mary began her teaching career in Clearmont, WY. She also taught in Glenrock, Worland and Sheridan and then to Casper, where she taught art in the Junior High for 25 years. Mary married Henry (Hiney) Weber in 1947 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sheridan. They were reunited in marriage in 1970. She continued her career in art. She retired from Natrona County High School District #1 in June of 1986 - completing 40 years in Wyoming Schools. She was a volunteer art teacher at Mount Hope Lutheran School for several years after retiring. Mary was a member of Mount Hope Lutheran Church. She served on committees for the Good Shepherd Auxiliary and the Ladies Missionary League. She also taught Sunday school for several years. Mary was a member of the Wyoming Education Association and a life member of National Education Associations. She also served on the Retired Teachers Association. Mary was a ‘crafty lady'. Crafts were her life and hobby after her retirement. She decorated and designed eggs of all shapes and sizes for over 50 years. She made many other crafts also. She used them for fund raisers for the church. Mary is survived by her husband, Hiney, a brother, Wally of No. Carolina and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 sisters and 3 brothers.
