Funeral services will be held Friday, September 23, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Liberty Baptist Church. Mary Doris Watson was born on June 3, 1924, to Loren Alfred and Margaret Dorothy Ann Sober in Springfield, Colorado. Mrs. Watson became a child of God in 1934 by accepting Jesus as her Savior. She married Johnny A. Watson on December 18, 1941, in LaJunta Colorado. Together they conceived 11 children of which they reared 9 to adulthood. Mary Watson died quietly at home on September 20, 2011 in Tooele, Utah at the age of 87. Mary was a wife and mother, an entrepreneur, a Cub Scout den mother for many years, a pioneer in child evangelism and a master upholsterer. She loved reading, music, drawing and her fellowship with Liberty Baptist Church in Casper, Wyoming. Mary Watson is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 61 years, four brothers, one sister, three of her children, three of her children's spouses and one grandchild. She is survived by two sisters, eight children and their spouses, 28 grandchildren/step-grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren/step-great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren/step great-great grandchildren. Mary Doris Watson will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, encourager of children, genuine friend, fervent prayer warrior and as a special Child of God. She will be missed by many around the world. Interment will be at the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery in Evansville, Wyoming. In lieu of flowers, if you desire, please make a contribution in her memory to Liberty Baptist Church, 1203 South Oak, Casper, Wyoming.
